What’s Included in Our Living Trust Package
Pricing
- Individual Living Trust: $2,250
- Joint Living Trust (for married or California-registered domestic partners): $4,500
Here’s what’s included:
- Living Trust
Clearly outlines who manages your estate and who receives your assets.- Joint trusts are for legally married couples or California-registered domestic partners.
- Unmarried or locally registered couples should use separate individual trusts.
- Pour-Over Will
A backup document that catches assets not titled in your trust. Not the same as a standalone will. - Durable Power of Attorney
Appoints someone you trust to handle your financial matters if you become incapacitated. - Advance Health Care Directive
Specifies your medical wishes and names someone to make health care decisions if you can’t. - Personal Property Memorandum
Lets you designate who gets specific personal items like jewelry, instruments, or vehicles. - Nomination of Guardian (if needed)
Names a guardian for minor children. Automatically expires once all children turn 18. - Third-Party Special Needs Trust (if needed)
Protects inheritance for beneficiaries who receive government assistance, without affecting eligibility. - Deed Transfers (Real Property)
- Trust Transfer Deed: Immediately places real estate into the trust to avoid probate.
- Transfer-on-Death Deed: Adds property to your trust only after death—ideal for investment properties.
- each type of trust deed is a tax exempt transfer so it will not trigger a property tax reassessment.
- Solo trusts include 1 deed; joint trusts include 2. Additional deeds are $300 each.

Additional Estate Planning Services
Separate Property Trust
$950 (add-on) | $1,850 (standalone)
Used alongside a joint trust when a spouse has separate assets that need distinct management or distribution.
Durable Power of Attorney
$350 each + notary
Names someone to manage your legal and financial affairs if you're incapacitated. Durable powers are effective immediately; springing powers are discouraged.
Advance Health Care Directive
$350 each + notary
Appoints someone to make medical decisions for you when you can't. Includes your health care preferences. Not the same as a DNR or POLST.
Returning Client Updates
$500–$950
For clients updating a trust or will originally prepared by us. Includes a 30-minute review call. Pricing depends on update complexity.
Trust/Will Review
$1,400
Review of documents prepared elsewhere. Includes one hour of review and a 60-minute consultation to answer your questions.
Consult / Advice Call
$350 per 30 minutes
For clients who need extra meeting time beyond what's included in the standard estate planning package.
Our Estate Planning Process
Free Intro Call
Planning Meeting
- You'll complete an intake form before we meet.
- We’ll walk through your goals and explain what documents you’ll need.
Drafting Your Plan
- You’ll receive a full draft within 5–7 business days.
- Review at your own pace; we’ll provide tips on what to focus on.
- Send any questions ahead—we’ll address them at the next meeting.
Finalization Meeting
- We go over your documents in detail and answer your questions.
- Any edits are made live during the meeting.
Signing & Notarization
- Sign and notarize your documents in our office (notary included).
- If you're outside San Diego, we’ll prep everything for a local notary.
Payment Schedule
- 50% due after your Planning Meeting (before you receive your draft).
- Final 50% due after your draft, and no later than 2 business days before your Finalization Meeting.
- Unpaid invoices will delay your plan—reminders will be sent.
